Jehiels Holdings — Logistics
From the mine,to the market.
Bulk commodity haulage, cross-border freight and local distribution — built on the same standards of governance that run through the wider Jehiels Holdings group.
Jehiels Logistics moves high-value bulk commodities — copper, chrome, manganese and related minerals — from mine to port and mine to market, alongside cross-border freight across the SADC region and day-to-day local distribution within South Africa.

Four services, one standard.
Bulk Commodity Haulage
Dedicated bulk haulage for copper, chrome, manganese and other high-value commodities, moved from pit to port or pit to processor on a scheduled, trackable basis. Loads are planned around your production schedule, not the other way around.
- •Chrome, copper, manganese and related ore/concentrate haulage
- •Side-tipper and interlink combinations matched to commodity and route
- •Scheduled, high-frequency mine-to-port and mine-to-market runs
Cross-Border Freight — Complete Package
Cross-border transport across Southern Africa — Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Eswatini and Lesotho — sold as a complete package: the haulage, the C-BRTA cross-border permit, and the customs clearing documentation, coordinated through our accredited partners so nothing is left for the client to chase up separately.
- •Cross-border haulage across the SADC corridor network
- •C-BRTA cross-border Goods Permit application, coordinated on the client's behalf
- •Customs clearing documentation (SAD500, tariff classification, transit documents) via SARS-licensed clearing agent partners
Local & Regional Distribution
Day-to-day local and regional road freight within South Africa, built around the same scheduling discipline and tracking standard as the cross-border and bulk commodity fleet.
- •Scheduled local and inter-provincial freight
- •Flexible truck configurations for varying load profiles
- •Live tracking and proof-of-delivery on every run
Fleet & Owner-Driver Partnership
Owner-drivers and small fleet operators can run their trucks under Jehiels Logistics on contracted loads — access to consistent, vetted work in exchange for meeting our compliance and safety standards.
- •Access to contracted bulk, cross-border and local loads
- •Standardised onboarding — one compliance pack, assessed once
- •Support with load scheduling, documentation and client coordination
Cross-Border Pricing
What the complete package actually costs.
Three cost components, shown separately rather than folded into one vague number — one is a fixed government fee, two depend on your specific route and cargo.
The truck & driver
Priced per route — distance, commodity, volume and truck configuration all affect the rate. No two cross-border loads cost the same.
Government permit fee
Official C-BRTA fee for a Class 2 freight permit (heavy combinations over 20,000kg), charged per vehicle, per country crossed.
Clearing documentation
SAD500 and tariff classification, quoted by our SARS-licensed clearing agent partner based on cargo type and declared value.
Government permit fees are fixed and published — see the source below. Haulage and customs clearing are quoted against your actual route, so the total package price is confirmed once we know where the load starts and ends.
Enquire About PricingPermit fees per the official C-BRTA fee schedule, effective 1 April 2025 (Government Gazette 52198) — confirm current rates at cbrta.co.za before quoting a client, as these are periodically revised.
Coverage
Local roads, cross-border corridors.
Domestic distribution across South Africa, plus cross-border freight across the Southern African region.
How We Operate
Built to be trusted with your cargo.
Safety-led operation
Driver training, vehicle inspection schedules and load-safety practice aligned with industry road-transport standards — not an afterthought behind delivery speed.
Visibility on every load
GPS tracking from pickup to delivery, with proof-of-delivery and status updates clients can actually rely on.
Right truck for the route
Vehicle and trailer configuration matched to commodity, volume and route — bulk minerals, general freight or cross-border, planned around the cargo, not fitted to it.
Jehiels Logistics operates every cross-border route with the relevant transit and customs documentation in place, and expects the same compliance standard — vehicle, driver and insurance — from every truck running under our name. See Fleet & Owner-Driver Partnership for the full requirements.
